Finally done!!!!
Driveshaft and new lemforder flex disk are installed. Car drives great, now to get the wheels rebalanced. I tell you, what a PITA to do this job!!! All the prying just trying to get the DS lined up!!!! At least it's a done deal. The driveshaft shop did tell me that the u-joint is not supposed to clock itself in the center, and a bad u joint can shred a new center support bushing. The remanned one has the staked u-joint, and it freely moves in all directions. It also has a one year warranty. Here are my thoughts on job... Removing the tranny support bracket did give more room. I used a 17mm tubing/flare wrench to get at the bolts on the rear differential, as there was no room to remove three of the nuts using a combo or bear wrench. It would make the job much easier if the shaft collapsed to clear the yokes at the tranny of the diff.
