The 3rd is palomino. I bought it just to have around. never installed it. I may just throw it in the TD when I get rid of it. It's my goal not to have any w123 parts around here anymore. I do have some random om617 stuff, just in case I ever get an '85 SD.

$195 is what it came up with. I think it is worth more as scrap, but I dunno.

worth punching in the info on the 300TD and seeing what they come up with as far as what they might pay you.

Ive used them because of the sight unseen part of it, I can push a scrap car out, they quote me on what they might pay, I opt for a check in the mail, and I don't have to dicker with a junkyard or towing company. They just come and get it, and a couple days later I get a check.

If the car is absolutely valueless, they will still come get it but pay you nothing. Just recently they paid me 75 bucks for a rabbit with no engine or drivetrain, 10 percent of the body panels, and nothing of any value left. It was essentially 4 wheels and rust.

Be careful. The rules changed in 2004 because the IRS saw this as a deduction that was being abused. You can deduct the fair market value (which is NOT necessarily the same as blue book; it depends on condition) IF the charity uses or substantially improves the car. If they just resell it, you can only deduct what they sell it for.

BTW, I could really use a good ALDA for my '81. Don't know if you still have yours, or if the one from an '85 would even fit...

The alda for this car didn't work, I dont think. I removed it and got great power. I then tried to reinstalled the alda, even with the screw all the way out it was dead slow. As far as I know they are all the same or very similar.

D'oh. Yeah, that sounds like the same problem I had with mine. Except I knew mine was broken because I broke it. Heh.
