W126 door key tumblers...

ok, last year, my daughter stuck the wrong key in the passengers side door and turned it... ruining it.
today, she did the driver's side...
has anyone successfully repaired them?
it's an 82 SD... I've pulled entire door handles before, but not successfully opened one up yet.
hints? tips?

Not "Tumblers" but "Leaves"

IF you get in there you'll see.
Oblong Rectangular Metal "Leaf" with the appropriate opening cut into the middle.
They slide into and out of the "Tumbler" Barrel easily.(TOO EASILY!)

If you've got a real Master Locksmith in the area it'll be easy for her/him
to put new leaves into the barrel to match the correct key.

(Let the Lock Destroyer buy the Chassis a new set of Locks,
The Learning Curve will move upwards rapidly)

I took an old lock from another chassis
(I bought a Locking Center Console box from another member here)
took it downtown to the Master Locksmith and $20 later it was re-keyed
[Re-Leaved?] to my Master Key.

The Local Stealership had just laughed and said a week for a new
lock and $150.00

Hi dear,.
If i am not wrong you are talking about the door lock tumbler and key? If you are
talking about the ignition tumbler and key, then it is like $35 not $135.
