How wonderful to see Peachparts grow. The legacy continues.

I have not been involved in the forum for some time. Between work and medical issues.( Hypothyroidism, Nothing major. Once diagnosed, it is easy to treat, Its the diagnosis that the modern medical system is incompetent in diagnosing.) I have re-prioritized my list. So I'm turning my shop back into a wood shop and not working on the cars much anymore. Besides I'm getting to old to get up and down off the concrete floor.
So I'm getting rid of parts I have collected over the years for W123 I have owned, 6 in all. I've looked around the Forum and it's amazing how many DIY article have been done. The DIY are very helpful to the up and coming DIYers joining Peachparts.
And as time goes on it seems the new models are being represented. W140 and W210 etc.
It's good to see the legacy is being moved forward.
Thank you for all you who have expanded this forum. I guess I was one of the first DIY motivators. Keep up the good work.

I'm afraid I have gone to the dark side. We purchased a 2007 Honda Accord. But in all honesty, It has been a wonderful car. In the shop 2 times in 112,000 miles. My 99 E300 Turbo Diesel was a wonderful car, Just a shop queen.
We still have my daughters 83 240D and will sell it this fall. Been waiting for the heat to subside to detail and fix up. Were the second family to own it. And she, my daughter, has moved on also, wants to sell it. Then all that will be left is my 1988 560SL.
Getting it back on the road and if it does well I will keep it. If it becomes expensive I'm afraid it will be gone also. I like the car but my time and money have become more important than just keeping a car. I love a convertible but the Honda S2000 is very reliable and a really neat car.
The Airline Industry is collapsing and I have only 3 years left till I turn 60. I plan on going at 60, we can fly to 65, but I'm not interested and this industry anymore. American Airlines may be going Ch 11 in the next couple of month due to incompetent management. They received record bonuses in the airline industry, but we were at the bottom of the statistics. American will probably go bankrupt spring of 2012, if it happens at all. Lets not get into the dismal economy. The legal system is not kind to labor. Management gets rewarded and labor gets screwed . Well see what happens
I digress,
The forum is doing wonderful and I'm glad to see the follow on members have done a great job keeping the legacy going on. Keep the DIY going and it's nice to see the video DIY's added

Congratulations

Dave
