Billybob you are correct, they are velour. They have a blk stripe in the pattern that is wearing away on the drivers bolster. Other than that, they look pretty good.

Im a noob and I have only seen leather, vinyl or this and I assumed this would be considered cloth(I have also seen the combos)

I would also be interested in recovering the front drivers seat if someone finds a source

there was a Euro a couple months back that had dark brown cloth seats with that same type cloth. looks like a large Corderory cloth. it had the door panels with the cloth inserts. too bad they went to the crusher. they were in good shape, and clean. think they were in a W126.

One suggestion if you want to have cloth seats is to take the seats out and take them to a good boat/auto upholstery shop. You can find material they have that you like and should be able to get them recovered for a decent price

I realize this is an old thread but it still valid for USA located MB owners looking for cloth seat upholstery for their European spec Mercedes Benzes.

You cannot search the web in English as results will bring mostly American website results. Since cloth seats were not an option in most American spec Mercedes-Benz cars (like my W123) there will be no American vendors for cloth materials.

But if you search for Mercedes cloth upholstery using German language words like “MERCEDES-BENZ POLSTERSTOFFE” you will find vendors that sell lots German seat restoration fabrics, like:

https://autosattlerei-artur.de/MERCEDES-Stoffe/mobile/

And keep in mind these are German companies and if you’re dealing with them you may have to speak German to them or find some who can speak English. Then you’ll have to see if they will make the effort to deal with international orders and with customs etc.

But now you have options

Same goes for a lot of parts and bits. I find myself search UK for more and more stuff.
