The non-runner should be cheap. If it has enough good parts, load & go. For both cars, be concerned 1st with rust, 2nd with what doesn't work, Windows, Sun roof, locks, climate control (heat AND AC), Seats in good condition (pita to find good seats close to you).
Engine cold (sat over night) - starts easily 1st glow? Running, loosen oil cap, should just sit there, not blow all over the place (see youtube). Check for rust under bottom of rear glass. Take a small curved pick & you'll be able to reach under seal & feel rust. Frequently can see it. Tranny shifts smooth with good acceleration. Stops smooth and straight. Pedal firm, not spongy or pulsing. Count the dollars to make into a daily driver & offer accordingly. ABOVE ALL - Do NOT FALL in LOVE. Cars are available. You don't NEED this one. Take cash. Ben Franklin drives a good bargain lying on the expansive SD hood. Make sure title matches numbers.

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.

Cars looked crazy rough. One supposedly had everything working sans sunroof. Interiors: dash, panels, knobs, seating surfaces were like post-Armageddon. Low rust. Relatively low miles 170-240. Neither were currently running, but one only because it was being 'gone through'. Thoughts? Pricing? Think they were 82 and 83.
