Towing, without the Owner's Consent or Knowledge

When the Service Adviser tells you their towing service will pick up your Mercedes...
This is what REALLY happens:

brand new mercedes no keys in Carrier Towing Forum

Think of them as Legalized Car thieves.

'Over 60% HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

The whole point of this Nightmare...

Let ANYBODY Tow your Mercedes, without your presence,at It's Peril.

1.If they don't have a Flatbed/Rollback(AND know what their doing),Run them Off.
2. See 1. Above.
3. See 1. Above.

4.MOST IMPORTANT,Follow them to the "Drop Off" point, watch and make sure
they don't damage it at that end!

Over here the tow trucks are owned by the smash repair shops. They dont mind a little extra work for their shops.

There are a lot of low cost shady/ fly by night operators for sure, especially in this economy. Like any other service or product you choose, you get what you pay for. Check your owners manual for towing procedures/requirements and understand them. Though a flatbed may be the preferred method of towing, using a conventional tow truck with dollies can be used if it is approved by the manufacturer.

problem is that no one wants to pay a fair price, people beat down the prices and all that is left are the guys who cut corners to be able to tow for that price. jeesh, if we could get chinese guys to tow for $.40/hour we would do that then complain about the quality of the result
