Also, being that the elbow fitting is just a vent hose, does it affect the operation of the VCV? Thx.

In my case, I couldn't get the minimum prescribed vacuum (12"Hg?) out of the VCV at idle. Shifts were stiff but not jarring.

The vent line is there so the vacuum pump draws cleaner cabin air

Does anyone have confirmation via FSM on this 12" specification? Where do I measure it from exactly? Thanks, lots of good info here.
