126 blower motor

Was operating intermittently, now not at all. I suspect the brushes are shot from what I have read here. Used to engage when I put pressure on the fan with my foot, I took off the cover today and found one of the two wires disconnected to the motor, the one on the right hand side. I wasn't sure where it was supposed to be connected to as it's pretty hard to see down there and I saw no obvious receiver for this spade terminal.
Please don't list competing parts sites.

Use a mirror and flashlight to locate the three Philips screws, remove, and let the blower drop down. Many times the male and female electrical connectors are sometimes folded flat. Take caution if raising them up to reconnect the wire. Some will break off quite easily.

I removed the blower motor, blasted it all with compressed air, gave it a little lube and hooked it up again. It ran good then. Brushes were not yet replaced at this point. To my untrained eye, there seemed to be some life left in them.
Now when I want full on heat/fan blowing, the fan does not engage right away. What I am experiencing is after 30-60 seconds or so I hear something in my vents move, and then the fan starts to blast. I am a little puzzled as to what's occurring here.
EDIT: After having it not work at all driving home from work, I think it must be the brushes. Wishful thinking on my part when a cleaning made it work.

if you are talking about 30-60 seconds after the car is started, there is a delay in the CCU before the blower will engage...

Possibly longer if the system is in heating mode and the coolant is cold....

I was looking for some other parts for my 123 and found that NAPA sells Bosch Blower Motors (no fan) for about $152.
However, identify what you have because the one on my Car is made by Siemans not Bosch.
