If you manage to tap it out I would still start looking for a good replacement Plate.
The reason is that there is not that many threads to begin with and these Engines have a lot of vibration.
Another reason is that if your repair twisted or distoreted the Tube that plate is going to be under stress.
I would not want an unknow Oil leak while I am driving incasethe Banjo Bolt pulled out.

If the Copper Banjo Bolt Crush Washers are not too distoreted they can be softened by heating them red hot; and often can be reused.
