240D Stainless Exhaust

I've searched around looking for a stainless down tube, the one that goes from the manifold to the first section of exhaust.
Any ideas where I can find one?
Tired of replacing mine every other year and want something to last.

Thanks and happy holidays!

240 is what, 1-7/8 pipe? likely any quality muffler shop can make it... there are lots of companies that sell sections of stainless pipe pretty cheap, and Harbor Freight sells a mandrel bender...

I would like to just order one, have it delivered to my door. I live out in the country, no muffler shops of any kind out here.
To make one myself... time is my major stumbling block. Have to work a ton of hours 7 days a week just to make ends meet.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

I'm thinking of getting the bender, maybe I'll build one for you next year...

That would be great but I'll need it soon. Mine is already patched.

Thanks!

It's also not cheap replacing the pipe every 18 months.

Whaaaaat????

I thought the front pipes would be the last to die - water shouldn't collect there - that's what usually kills an exhaust.

Anyway I've heard bad things about some stainless exhausts - depending where you get them - they can rust through just as fast as a standard steel. So bear that in mind. Like all things there's stainless and then there's stainless. But I doubt they'll be making an exhaust out of 18/10... I don't know maybe they do...

Yeah, mine keeps going just under the flange. Weird. I think it's a Walker.
Being around boats, you're right about different grades of stainless.

Something else is wrong if that is as long as it is lasting. Park on grass?

Fuel issue? Head gasket?

Frankly even cheap aftermarket should last longer, and with ULSD fuel, the sulfur corrosion problem has gone away.

Id reconsider everything else if that is the life you're getting.

TimeValve built a stainless exhaust for my 58 MB many years ago. It is still in perfect condition.

Wonder how much more a tmevalve system is than buying through worldpac equivalent or the dealer.

Seems like a great option, Ill keep this in mind should I ever need an exhaust.

Yes, parked outside on stones and short trips quite a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check it out.
