Having fun with option codes!

The "Showing My Baby Some Love" topic brought up the subject of paint codes, and after going to look up mine I decided to see what the other numbers on my ID plate meant!

Paint codes: Mercedes-Benz Paint Codes

Option codes: Mercedes Code Descriptions

Also helpful: Body Tag

There's one other site I used but I can't find it at the moment.

What I found for my plate:

3064073 – 3: built in 1983 at the Bremen plant, the rest is a production number
123123 12 – 123: chassis number, 1: diesel, 23: 240D, 1: LHD, 2: automatic transmission
103058 – Engine variant number (103: main engine number, 058: engine variant)
623 H – Light Ivory, H is the paint manufacturer
410 – Electric sliding roof
420 – 4-speed automatic transmission with tempomat
440 – Tempomat (cruise control)
467 – Code 461 and 466 (461: Instrument w/ mileage reading and English lettering, 466: Central locking system)
491 – US version
504 – Outside rear view mirror, right, electrically adjustable (LHD)
531 – Automatic antenna
546 – Lockable glove compartment and sun visors w/ vanity mirrors on the left and right, illuminated
580 – Air conditioner
593 – Heat-insulating glass, all-around, heated rear window pane, single-sheet safety glass, band filter
639 – Code 634 and 636 (634: Elimination of first aid box, 636: Elimination of warning triangle)
252 – Becker radio Mexico cassette, full stereo, electronic – USA
803 – Change of model year, the last figure shows the new model year

Thanks!

Explains a few codes that had "no code designation available".

639: from 01.08.1977: ELIMINATION OF FIRST-AID BOX AND WARNING TRIANGLE

757: from 01.06.1990 to 31.03.1994: BECKER RADIO GRAND PRIX 2000 - USA

872: from 01.10.1972: " ELECTRIC SEAT HEATER FOR REAR SEAT BENCH, LEFT AND RIGHT"

300: from 01.05.1988: STORAGE BOX IN FRONT TRAY

The only odd ones are 801 which my build sheets says is "AEJ 06/1/M/X". Which I have no clue about and this link did not have an 801, just an 801L which is "801L " YEMEN, PEOPLES REPUBLIC (SOUTH YEMEN)"". Also 040 which is "C 220 CANADA SPECIAL EDITION". What the heck is that? Then code 64, which there is a 064A "CLOTH LIGHT BROWN". I have a leather interior, unless cloth means the door trim and rear shelf.
