722.303 trans leak

The trans in my 617.951 powered 53 F100 has sprung a significant leak. On the RH side, toward the rear, there is a small cover held in by a snap ring. What seals this cover? And if there is a spring, how strong is it?
Any help appreciated, tired of buying fluid

Sounds like the round cover to the B2 piston. I believe there is an O-ring seal. If you look up B2 repair -it should have details/pics.

Far left (secondary pump) or under the '20' (B2 piston)?

The small cover to the far left, just above the kickdown solenoid.

Secondary pump? There's an o-ring to replace after removing the 3 bolts. I'm 90% sure the part number is 016 997 32 48. I don't know what the adjustment screw is for exactly but it has to do with the centrifugal governor. Best to leave it alone, I guess.

Or is it leaking from the middle cover held on by a circlip?

There is a secondary pump delete kit available from Peter Schmid. The secondary pump wan't included in transmissions from late '91 or '92.

It's leaking from the small cover held in by the snap ring.
I have 3 of these trans, from 81, 82, and 85 model years. The 81 and 85 have this small cover, the 82 doesn't If it is an O-ring seal, any idea of the dimensions?

EPC shows 2 o-rings - 126 777 08 55 and 016 997 37 48, the latter to transmission 723251. There's no from transmission 723252 note on the first o-ring.

FWIW the 82 might have been rebuilt without the secondary pump.

It looks like the pump is there, even has the adjustment screw, just not the cover and snap ring. But it could be just a pump delete housing.
