Battery question.
Hello guys. I have been searching and searching on here for a battery. I know there are alot of reviews and do not know what to go with. I have seen that the general consensus is an autozone battery. I live in a very remote part of new mexico and we do have an autozone they have both batterys in stock. I really wanted to know what the deal is with an optima battery. I have a 94 cummins with red tops in it and have had them in it for over 6 years with no problems. I dont mind spending the money but if they arent as good i wont bother. The car i have is a 1982 300td wagon. Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it. I just purchased new tires for the wagon and a battery is next on the list.

The car has been sitting for 5 years not driven. I dont know what brand battery is in it. I have decided im going to put a new battery in it and dont know what my best option is. The car was owned by an older woman it has 142k on it. The service manual has been filled out on the car ever since it was brand new until 125k. I bought it for my family and want to get the car up to snuff. I really like the car and want to fix her up right. Thanks

Optima Batteries
Which Optima Red Top for 1985 300D? Apparently Optima's are not as good as they once were. Also remember you Battery life also depends on how easy your Engine starts = Valves adjusted correctly, Glow Plug system working good, Fuel Injection Pump timing and Injectors within specs.
