Springs buying help

the springs in my car are worn to the point where alignment is now difficult. Per the PP website, what does "points" mean? see below

(2 per car) Notes: Standard value for 201.128 is 44 points. Add optional equipment points for correct spring values. Incorrect values for options added will result in car with incorrect ride height; ie."sagging" or riding too high. For this part application, do not exceed points value of 40. For spring pad, use 201 321 09 84 or 201 321 10 84 for values less than 30. Use spring pad 201 321 10 84 or 201 321 11 84 for values 31-35 and use spring pad 201 321 11 84 or 201 321 12 84 for values 36-40.
Sub Model: 2.5 Turbo
