Battery Cold Cranking Amps?
I'm checking into buying a new battery, as my existing one in the 240d is about 4 years old. As a result of the age it seems to crank pretty slow on real cold days. (-15 C & colder) The battery is fully charged - just old.
The most powerful battery I can buy locally (that will fit - group 49 type) has 750 cold cranking amps. Will this be powerful enough to get the old 82 240d up and running after it has been sitting at my work all day? Does anyone know what CCA Mercedes recommends? Thanks Aivars |
