I imagine, the same applies to SC as it does to CA. Go to your AAA office and get roadside assistance, you can get 100mile tow radius or more for very little a year, I think I pay 120$ for 2 people. You can then have it towed for free. You can spend the little bit of money on it, bring it home and flip it....get your money back and then some...I paid 475$ for a w115 240d with a bad engine...so someone would pay you for it....but I can see there is no convincing...so I will it go now...

There are stipulations to that AAA membership [like it must be registered & tagged in the AAA members name] which would add even more $ to the initial investment. Oh, it's out of state [in NC] so the DMV needs to verify the VIN # before issuing a title on an out of state transfer ~ another $120 in costs, yadda, yadda, yadda...........

I feel I'd have better odds in Vegas or Powerball

Like I said, if it were just the $200 and closer to me to fix and drive home I'd be all over it. I just don't see any profit otherwise and I don't work for free.

I haven't got even 1 PM about it so apparently no one is seriously interested. I figured someone might see this thread and express interest but no one is close or interested I guess. I'm NOT putting her info out there without her permission. She also does not want to deal with people calling her, wanting to send $, etc... She called me, that's the only way I have her #. I recommended she call a local indy Mercedes shop near her to see if they were interested but she wouldn't. It will go to the scrapper soon if it gets ticketed. You can't save them all.
