2005 E320 CDI 92 Deg C Thermostat....

Noticed my new to me 2005 E320 CDI engine temp is running lower than it should. It's indicating 60C in colder climates, and only got to around 80C in Florida here. I verified temps with a digital thermometer in the tank. I need to find the highest temp OEM style T-stat I can find for it. Looks like the originals may have been rated for 87C(depending on regions emissions requirements), but were possibly respecified to 90 or 92C. Pelican parts has the Wahler brand 92C T-stat for it, and so does KO performance:

Looks like KO performance with the free shipping is a better deal. Anyone have an other vendors at reasonable prices?

Ordered the one from KO performance. 92 Deg C. and comes with the temp sensor. I would have gone with the Pelican parts unit except that KO performance is located in Florida like me, and they had free shipping. Hopefully I will get it soon, and get it installed. I plan on disassembling the old thermostat assembly and seeing if there is a way to feasibly install a Stant 205 Deg F thermostat into it for higher MPG's. Would actually be really nice to have an adjustable temperature setpoint on the T-stat.

I've had that new T-stat in there for quite a while. I performed a quick test on the coolant system to verify coolant temps are where they should be. The engine is running between 195 and 200 Deg F. Coolant reservoir temps are around 10-15 degrees cooler. Looks like that T-stat I installed so long ago is still working properly
