OM602 Camshaft Fixing Lock

I'm doing a head gasket on my '93 300D and am currently ready to install the camshaft. I seem to be missing a little part, in the EPC parts catalog it is called a "Fixing Lock" which looks like half a washer. It sits in the head in a little slot. Well it seems mine disappeared while cleaning the head. I can't find it anywhere. In the FSM diagram it is called a camshaft lock washer. I'm pretty sure it was there when I pulled everything apart but it has disappeared.

Problem is, I can't seem to locate a replacement anywhere. The part number seems to be 601 051 00 73. Any ideas where I can get this little thing?

I have been concerned that it would be carried out with the cam and drop off into the chain vault. "fixing lock" aka thrust washer. Recommend buying one at this site, the dealer or contact someone selling a head or cam.

Well looks like a dealer only part, I checked with Phil. I was trying to avoid using the dealer. They make me so mad. I called the local dealer and was told they could get the part on Monday and it was $10 plus tax. So I said to order it, and was then told it must be pre-paid. I said fine, here is my credit card number. They said, sorry can't take credit card numbers over the phone, you need to come in and pay. What kind of customer service is that? I pleaded with the woman that it was just a $10 part and I live far away, and she said sorry but she can't do that. So that means two trips, one to pay and one to pick up!

I have the same situation with my dealer. Last week I made two 45 mile round trips for a $2.40 bolt. Hope to have them mail a back ordered key as an alternative to driving there.
