1980 240D transmission yoke

Hi, I was wondering if someone might know if the transmission yoke is the same on a 1980 240D manual 4 speed, and a 1983 240D automatic. I just completed a swap of a manual into my car. Before installing it I noticed the yoke seemed a little sloppy on the manual transmission. It had a bit of clockwise/ counterclockwise play. In my haste and tunnel vision I dismissed the play, not considering I might have a replacement right on the automatic I removed. The automatic does not have any play at all. Now that the swap is complete I notice some slop in the drivetrain when shifting. It's not the shifter, it shifts beautifully. The flex discs are good and so is the carrier bearing, and U-joint. Is the yoke play normal? Are the 2 yokes interchangable. Thanks for the help.
