New guy needs pointers for increaseing power/efficency
I've read a little about increasing boost pressure, turning up the pump, etc.
Are there any basic alterations that can be done to a '85 300SD (5 cyl)? It would be nice to have a little more throttle response, but don't want to cause damage possiblities (294k miles). On my diesel truck I replaced the exhaust with a 3.5" mandrel bent straight exhaust (no cat, no muffler), and use Amsoil high-flow air filter. Are there Amsoil filters for the MB? Opening exhaust on any diesel is a plus. Anyone done this to a MB? Where would I find pump settings, waste gate adjustment information, etc? Has anyone tried to intercool a MB? Sorry about all the questions. |
