Found a oil leak on my 240d from the oil separator tube at the bottom where it goes in to the oil pan. Does this tube where it fits over the smaller tube coming out of the oil pan have a oil ring? If it does mine must be bad. Thx for any info Robert evansr727@aol.com

There is an O-ring on the Nipple that comes of from the Pan on my 84 300D.
when I had my Drain Tube off I picked through the generic O-rings from my kit of O-rings till I found one that fit.

Other things that happen are vibration vibrates a hole in the Tubing or if you have the type where the Metal Piece with a hole in it welded to the tubing (it clamps down the tubing); it sometimes cracks there.
