Dash Cracks

Other than replacing the entire dash, what product can be used to fill and stop the crack from extending? OK, it won't look perfect, but is there anything decent?

Mine has one crack at each speaker.

A company in Milford, PA , Color Plus, makes a flexible crack filler that is similar to spackle. It is made for filling cracks in leather seats. It works well but the only drawback is that it only comes in the color of white which means that the dash needs to be dyed after the cracks have been filled. You might want to contact them (they have a web site) about making a black crack filler(mixing their dye with the crack filler before application).

If you decide to replace the dash, let me know as I have both a black and blue crack free W123 dash (300d, 300cd, 300td, 280ce) for sale and I can also provide a set of written instructions on how to remove and install a W123 dash.

The crack free Blue Dash needs to be put in a Museum.

Another option is a mat of some kind to cover the cracks. I had a dash mat brand cover in my 300D and it looked much better than a cracked dash.

This may be exactly what you are looking for, I planned on doing the same procedure myself:
Is it possible to pull the vinyl off of the dash?

There is likely a lot of things that could be used to fill in the Cracks after the Dash has been leveled. After that I suppose new Vynil could be glued over it.

There is also some sort of Dashbard Cap you can buy to put over it.

I also went with the blue Dashboard Cover. Out of site out of mind.

My crack free blue dash and black dashes are treated like royalty and are carefully packed away in a temperature controlled garage.

Even if you don't have a cracked dash....I recommend getting a dash dolly to protect the dash....just remove it for special events
