300 SDL - Front Shock

300 SDL - Front Shock

Is there anything special, or a trick to installing the left front shock on the 87 300SDL? I ordered 4 shocks on-line, and my indy said that one did not fit the front driver side; said it was the wrong shock.

A few weeks later I ordered the shock from AutoZone, and gave it to my Indy. Again, he said it didn't fit. AutoZone ordered another one, and it was the same part number as the one before.

Maybe there is an installation trick my indy doesn't know?
