Got some 3.5mm hose and replaced all fittings. I also rerouted the vac hose as per the diagram. ACC now works like a charm and is no longer in default mode. Also transmission is shifting way better now and initial acceleration is more responsive (meaning readjusted ALDA had no vac leaks also).

Initially had some minor leaks but was able to isolate with the Mityvac, which would NOT have been possible without. I had a couple of loose fittings, tightened or reworked, and all is great!

Lesson learned:
1. If its not broke, don't fix it!
2. If your OCP like me, and you do a Pre-Emptive strike and start replacing dry-rot hose, don't "redneck" out and use hose or fititings from the local yokels that "looks like it'll duuu!"
3. Use quality spec'd hose. I had to go to a Mercedes shop to get it.
4. Buy a Mityvac!

Thanks to all who replied.

Case closed.

BT long break

OK, my ACC works, ALDA giving me way more initial power, transmission is shifting VERY smooth (I was in error earlier - it was slightly harsh).

As per my research here I:
1. Plugged the EGR on the manifold
2. removed/replaced the air filter box and valve to remove/eliminate the AVR and EGR recirc valves transducers
3. removed 5-way and replaced with a large "Y" (couldn't find an F-connector).
4. Should I cap the Recirculating Air Valve on the turbo (137b)?

That means I eliminated the crossover line from the EGR recirc (a) "ventilation to passenger compartment" since it wasn't going thru the firewall anyway. I still cannot figure out what that meant "ventilation to pass compartment" so not sure if I still need it. I also moved the purolator clear filter to the shutoff valve line.

I switched the Y from the manifold to the vac control unit as per and rerouted all of that to the switchover valve and amp, which was not routed as per either.

The Yellow check valve is missing, I can see where it was installed.

What say y'all?
