99 e300 injector rebuild where can I get this done?

Hi all, I live in Houston and today I noticed the injector wells are filling with diesel, but my cr also nails very loudly, even after diesel purge, is this a task I can find a kit for or should I just pay to have them rebuilt? If so where should I take them? Is there anyone in the area that can spray test/rebuild them? Thanks

Before you mess with the injectors how old is the fuel return hose?

As previously stated the external leaks are not being caused by a need to have the Injectors rebuilt but most likely the Fuel Retur Hoses are shot.

Knowing the mileage on the Engine might be handy to determine if your Injectors are worn out or not.

Then there has been a couple of bad Diesel Fuel Threads that could have something to do with the nailing if it is not the Injectors.

If your Fuel Injection Pump timing is late enough it can nail.

Tale a look at the top of the Fuel Injection Pump. If it is wet the Delivery Valve Seals could need changing. Some have said the leaking Delivery Valve Seals can cause nailing.

Any Fuel Injection Shop should be able to do the Job. I would get out the Telephone Book and take a look at what Shops are in your area. Call on the Phone and ask what they Charge.

Someone else will have to give advice on which Injector Nozzles would be best for your Year and Model. It could be cheaper to purchase the Injector Nozzles seperate instead of having a local shop supply them.

293000 never been touched and they nail like a son of a b***h it has nailed since I got it two years ago, I've done the dv seals and the fuel lines, never touched the return lines though so that's a huge possibility however i think a rebuild is needed aswell

I found a shop near me that will do them for $65-$75 each and get them back to me in a day. This includes rebuilding, pop testing and calibrating and new heat shields. I do the removal and installation.

I found them by asking an independent garage that works exclusively with German cars and uses them to rebuild injectors.

Replace your fuel return lines first.

I hope that includes new Nozzles?

And, at the mileage you listed if originals I would expect the Nozzles to be shot.

Includes nozzles. Giving car a big "once over" on all serviceable items before integrating WVO as fuel later this summer.
