That's cool, Its nice that the officer was too, over the years of growing up I have had my share with both kinds plenty of times. now that I drive older Diesels, they seem to leave me more alone, go figure.

apparently the cop is one of them.

Am I the only one with no doubt that you were guilty as charged?

I was, but I would be very surprised if excessive acceleration was an actual offense.

I've been told it is. You can't floor it from a stop accelerating as fast as you can then level off at the speed limit.

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.

In Texas they have or had a charge called "Exhibition of Acceleration" and they would ticket you if you peeled out or smoked your tires. Didn't matter how fast you were actually going.
