What's a Piersburg OM603 vacuum pump worth?

I bought a 350SDL from a guy a while back that the crank blot got loose on. He put a new vacuum pump on it 1800 miles before the pulley came loose. Anyway, I pulled that engine out and installed a low mileage OM603 3.0L instead. Well, the engine has been in the garage for a while, and starting to consider parting it out. I looked it over and saw that nice new pump on the front, and thought I'd check what they would bring to see if I would rather just hold onto it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would install it on your "new" engine. They are expensive, and your old, unknown condition pump could take your engine out.

Hmm, maybe. How long of a job is that with the donor engine on the ground, and the patient in the car? Should I think of replacing anything else while I'm in there?

Thanks,

The pump is super easy to get off, just remove the bolts holding it on.
