boost pressure sensor
hi guys
the attached pics are my boost pressure sensor and as I have no switchover valve (line is direct from manifold to ALDA),does this device (sensor) has any function now? ..and when cap removed the connection is weak (pic2)..should it be in some kind of housing instead just pressed with rubber cap..? cheers, ChO .

The connector should be soldered to the wire. If it breaks off, just heat the connector until the old solder flows, insert a stripped section of wire, add some fresh solder and allow to cool. Then reassemble. Many Mercedes electrical connectors are of this type.
![]() ![]() It actually looks like you don't have the connector. It looks like someone just wrapped some bare wire around the terminal, put the cap back on and hoped for the best. You can find these connectors almost anywhere on the car. Junk yard is probably the best option.

thanks mate I did it (like you have explained) with my connector on oil filter housing few months ago... so I wondered is this one also needs better connection.. however I'm afraid that I have no use of him in due my "direct to ALDA" setup... .

Weird that there's even a wire there, considering that's no place for the wire to go.
