The cold compression minimum came from my old chilton's from the seventies. I imagine it only tells you about cold starts. The compresion warm is tricky to get but may give more valuable information about wear once the threshold of having enough to start is crossed.

block heater is your friend
I have found that you can get the engine decently warm using the block heater for about an hour before doing a compression test. Better than a cold test but not as good as a hot test. Cheers Dan
