om 603 oil pan question
hello,
i may be getting a 1987 300sdl that needs an oil pan. will a pan from a 603 from a w124 300d work or is the w126 pan different? thanks gregg

Same pan. Even the pan from a 90-91 350SD/L will work but it won't have the side sump.

Just curious, are there advantages to the side pump? Why did they change the design?
