Besure the Fuel Fill Cap is off or the Tank before blowing any compressed Air into the Tank.

Does anyone know if this valve is available new?

Perhaps still available new but there will still be one on most junked cars of the type.

I think they have been available recently. One way to look is to copy the part number (p/n) on the valve, if there is a part number, and enter the p/n and your car model/year into the "search" box on the Pelican Parts website.

You can also check on the epc (MBNA - Electronic Parts Catalog), to see what part number is listed for your model/year. It's worthwhile to learn how to use the epc, if you don't already. I think there is information linked in one of the threads listed in the sticky thread near the top.

I don't intend to drift off topic, but this might be helpful. I have wondered if these are still necessary. I'll explain. For the car listed below my signature, the epc doesn't show the valve as a valid part number for my car's VIN, but only shows the little bell-shaped boot. I wonder if MB has discontinued these valves for some models. I'm trying to figure this out. Does anyone know?

I occasionally get "nothing found" on the epc for an MB part that I'm looking at.

Try searching p/n: 1234700393 at Pelican Parts website. It looks like it's available there, but don't know if that's the correct one for your car. It looks exactly like the one on my 82 300D-T.
