How can I open the trunk on 300SD?
I need an antenna motor. I found one at a local junk yard in a 300SD (I dont know what year, but it has a 5 cylinder motor.
The trunk is closed, and no key anywhere. How can I open the trunk without doing any damage to the trunk lid?? |

Well it would be nice to get what you wanted without doing any damage. Sometimes that is impossible to do. Since the car is in a junkyard and probably not too many days from the crusher, I would not worry about the damage unless the junkyard specifically tells you not to damage anything or more specifically, don't damage that trunk lid. Without that warning, you can use any means to get what you need/want.

If one of the rear lights is in bad shape you could punch it out and reach in/move the vacuum lever to unlock the trunk lock. Only will work if the trunk is not in the "horizontal" locked position (requires key)

Call the dealer and order new keys.

same thing on my parts car. Believe it or not the lock cly can be destroyed w/ a trashed screwdriver and hammer..or drill if you can. From there, if the vacuum isn't engaged, the trunk lock can be pushed to release.
