Gasoline into my Diesel E300 Turbodiesel

What is the best way to empty my fuel tank, other than to pull it off the car?

I think someone put gasoline into my diesel, and I'm going to purge the fuel system.

Thanks in advance

Not sure what year car you are referring to. With that said if you look under the car above the area of the differential you will see where the hose comes out of the bottom of the gas tank. Remove hose and nut looking thing that the hose screws into and you can drain the tank.

Hopefully you dont have a full tank of the mix !
Make sure you have the filler cap off when you drain it or it will take for ever.
There are probably 2 lines, the other will be the return line. Fuel will drain from it but only down to about 1/4 of a tank.
You could consider putting a few gallons of ATF in the tank if its not full of the gas mix & just driving it until it is out of fuel. When it starts to miss from being out, just put say 5 gallons of diesel in & restart.
If what you have is near pure gas in it, best drain it. You can use low pressure air to purge the fuel out of the lines & then just refill with diesel.
Good luck

A little gas, say a gallon, with a full tank is not a bad thing. It kills the bacteria. I put a gallon in with a fill up about once every year. An old-timer Mercedes mechanic told me that trick. Keep in mind I have only OM617, OM602, and OM603 engines.

Don't worry about getting 100% of the gas out if you can dilute it sufficiently.

What are the symptoms leading you to believe there is gasoline in the system?
