no it is not modified..it is unique Behr 30C t-stat

We never ran anything but a hollowed out thermostat for over 20 years in our cars. Never had any sludge buildup either, but you had to either throw a thermostat in the car during the winter, or keep a jacket in the trunk!!!

Those foolish german engineers! What a waste of money installing thermostats all those years!
