Vibration: Yet Another Question

1985 300 TDT 312K
I have a vibration somewhere in my driveline. It is not the engine as that is smooth throughout the rpm range while in Park. I can feel this vibration in the chassis while increasing throttle e.g. Cruising at 40 mph and press on the throttle gently and the car will vibrate slightly until you back off slightly and let the car just cruise along. Anytime you give it throttle while cruising this occurs. It can be light throttle or heavy throttle. Back off and cruise and the vibration is gone. Speed doesnt matter....happens at 40 mph or 80 mph.
Work performed: New Motor mounts, engine shocks and bushing kits, valve adjustment, flex discs, center support/bearing/boot. Trans mount new 30,000 miles ago. All fluids and filters changed, new rear axles. All MB factory parts used.
When the driveshaft was off, we noticed that the universal joint had the "notch" on both axis that happens in the position where the universal usually runs{they dont move much under normal circumstances}.
The only things left I can think of are to have a new universal put on the driveshaft/balancing and/or new trans mount.
Any other thoughts or suggestions?? I think I've read 1,000 posts on driveline vibrations!
Thanks
John
