Where is the Back-up Light Switch on 1986 190D 5Sp?

Back up lights are not working and bulbs are good. I know where it is on an auto, but I do not know where to locate the reverse light switch on my 190D with manual transmission?

Also, is there anything else I should check before I find and replace the switch?

Thank you.

Michael

It is by the shift linkage. You will see it once you remove the shift boot, located towards the back.
