Alderon, it seems most of the people responding to your thread are tring to blame the thermostat. From your post, your question was about the radiator being hot on top and cold on bottom. That is sort-of the way it is supposed to be, but the bottom of the radiator is not supposed to be cold. cool, or cooler than the top, certainly. From the symptoms you described, I would guess that you have a blockage in the radiator. The only way to get it our is have the radiator serviced by a specialist ($$) or get a new radiator (about the same $$).
One way to check the radiator is run your hand down the radiator fins. If the temperature change is sudden from one part of the radiator to the next, that is where the blockage is. If the temperature change from top to bottom is gradual, the radiator is probably working correctly. Hope this helps.
