I strongly recommend you include an IC or other intake heat mitigation strategy at the same time as you radically increase fueling. It's really bad juju otherwise.

Its in the works.....

I completely noobed myself today and broke off the pin on the cam shaft trying to reassemble it. Luckily, I had a spare!

I speak from experience. I used to flip the propane switch under loaded boost and watch the EGTs jump, just like [snap!] right now. That was with a medium sized IC. Without any mitigation strategy in place, you're playing Russian roulette. Just not worth the risk.

Im not questioning your experience, my wife is questioning the hole in my pants pocket.

But she married you this way. She can't complain. It's a pre-existing condition. :D

Had hoped to get the car running with old IP but new turbo and head today. Ran into a slight snag with the turbo, apparently not all HX30W are created equal. The new one is a twin scroll and has a bigger exhaust housing and the wastegate arm sits out further. I should have that fixed tomorrow before turkey time. I have about 22 or so pics I took that I will post with some details later. For now you can see them here. https://picasaweb.google.com/110184791268815842578/OffWithHerHead?authuser=0&feat=directlink

Sadly its not nearly as many as I thought I had taken....

After turning the engine by hand a million times, I turned her over till the battery died (building up oil pressure). Charging now until turkey time is over.

Other than almost leaving paper towels in the engine, this is the only other noob mistake I made.

Sadly, I could only see the honing marks on 1 cyl (although 1 and 6 are up at tdc). The good side is that they were all mirror finish, no scoring!

aand, how big is the bruise on your forhead from the face slap?

WOW, you have a friend in FL with a 605? what's it in? pics? the 605 did not make it into any vehicles here in the US, so it's gotta be a grey market vehicle...
