ALDA removal DIY help

I've been reading a lot of post on how to remove the ALDA, a lot of write up but many different version. In one post, it stating backing off the screww completely CCW is the same as the being removed. Is this a correct statement.

Help with directing me to a post removing it from start to finish. Also, what does one do to the "banjo" bolt and tube after the ALDA is gone.

Yes, CCW will increase fuel flow.

You can simply plug off the banjo bolt with a regular bolt and discard the rest.

This is not a correct statement. With the screw counterclockwise, the ALDA still provides significant regulation to the rack and won't allow full fuel until it sees about 8 psi. Without the ALDA, the driver is the sole regulator of fuel to the engine.

If you want to remove it, you need two wrenches. One wrench must be a specially made thin wrench to get to the hex flats on the bottom of the ALDA. The second wrench is a conventional wrench that fits the nut on the top of the IP.

The ALDA must rotate counter-clockwise to remove. So, position the two wrenches so that the upper wrench is slightly clockwise from the lower wrench. You want to squeeze the two wrenches together with one hand to break the connection loose. After it's loose, just unthread the ALDA from the nut.

Plug the disconnected pressure hose and you're done. It's a totally different vehicle without an ALDA.

I had one SD and the whole ALDA assembly was gone, it has a piece of wire sticking out looks like a custom made coat hanger, but it does have a lot of power when stepped on gas. Now I think is due to removal of ALDA, anyways i sold her quick, as it does seep some oil out every so often, the hole where wire hanged out was siliconed, I did know it had to do with something important or sinister inside, i tried to move wire one way once the power was greatly reduced, so I put her back where she was. And added more silicone to seal the leak.
Is a big prob when these cars were repeated violated, it became hard to do more to them by the time u own them. But slowly pass her onto next dude!
