To the best of My Knowlege Astora only makes the 2 generic sized boots.

The FB3000 is the closest to the proper length the FB3001 is longer thicker and has a slightly bigger OD; or at least it looks that way in the pictures.

the Astoria 3001 is the boot I use on ALL my rebooted axles. it fits PERFECT on the 126 axle cans, and fits slightly loose on the 123 axle cans. using the included stainless steel crimp rings with a quality crimp pliers and you are SET for the next 10 years or so. I've been rebooting axles since... oh lemme check...

zero returns yet, no complaints, all satisfied with their axles.
I've used synthetic oil in most of them. some wanted the grease. I've got LOTS of grease left over as the boots all come with one bag of grease.

I am swapping in a set of Lobro-style axles from a 560SEL, so the inner joint can be removed for easy installation.

The #3001 will fit both inboard and outboard locations???

Ok,

I have a brand new set of Febi boots for a W116. What are the chances they would work on my 560SEL axles?????

Not sure. I will write the Febi numbers down. The W116 axles have large cans!

I bought a set of axle boots for my W116 back in 1996. The box the boots came in have been on my shelf since 1998. The boxes are marked Febi West Germany Part Number 126 350 03 37. The boost are marked Febi W. Germany GKNB3-2 153 15 75 00 010.

So, we know that W116 and W126 axles are the same length, with respect to either a 185mm or 210mm differential and Homokinetic or Lobro. The ‘126’ prefix means these may indeed work on my 1988 560 SEL axles.

Does anyone make a tool to crimp the cams in place?????

post up a pic of the cams.
if it's a standard crimp ring, I'll bet nipper pliers would crimp them.

126 350 02 37 (Outer) and 126 350 03 37 (Inner) are the same for both W116 & W126, according to our parts manual....
