oil leaking at rear bumper shock 116 chassis
it smells.i thought maybe fuel like oil,drivers side 80 300sd.small shock at rear bumper.are they filled with oil?dont know where else it could come from.

Yeah they are filled with oil. And when you replace them (you should), be VERY careful to not let them uncompress (remove with two hands). Me and a buddy replaced my front shocks, we took one out, the two pieces of the shock seperated (the pin part flew up) and exploded the green oil all over us. It was disgusting.
