Question 90 SDL dash lights

What wattage are the insturment cluster bulbs supposed to be? Pulled my cluster and the clear plastic that transmits the light was melted. Fortunately I had a spare cluster I could pull the plastic out of to replace. The bulbs in that cluster where 4W but they aren't as bright as I would like. Any input is appreciated.

I think it is 5w. It is a very common occurrence as mine is burnt too. I am thinking of replacing them with LED with the same form factor.

Thanks, looked with magnifying glass, the old ones were 8w. The 5w are acceptable but not as bright as I would like. I will try to find some leds I can use.
