Anyone else have reoccuring alignment problems?

Greetings,
I just got back from the tire place to have my tires rotated and the guy said that the alignment looks a little off. He said that the tread looked a bit "choppy." The car tracks straight so what could it be? I just had the alignment done last year when I had the front end rebuilt (except for replacing the sway bar bushings) and now I have to do it again? Are these cars particularly sensitive to alignment problems? Thanks

Alex

My '85 TD seems to get out of alignment pretty easily. I frequently accuse my wife of kissing the curb when she parks but she swears she doesn't. The fact the it seems to happen equally on both front tires tends to support her claim (I guess). My wear always seems to be on the one outside edge on either side. They get virtually bald when there is 20-25% tread left on the rest of the tire. I'd love to hear what others have experienced.

Check the shop manual concerning what tire wear is supposed to look like... a MB shop manual... you may not be having as many problems as your tire man thinks ..... Greg
