Used glow plug analysis

Hi all,

These are the glow plugs that I have pulled from my engine. OM617-951. Over the winter, I had to replace three plugs with what I had for spares, which were Autolite plugs. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I replaced all 5 plugs in the car with new Bosch plugs. I also reamed the GP holes before installing the new plugs.

I am wondering about the white build up on some of the tips. Usually that means advanced injection timing but I am pretty sure I have the opposite problem just based on how the engine runs. Perhaps someone can explain in more detail. Or perhaps, I am worrying about nothing.
