My technique
I use Marine Clean, great stuff! Buy two mud pan liners at Home Depot or other - they are also good for coolant system work and place under car with plastic drop cloth. I spray marine clean on and use a garden sprayer with HOT water and micro burst areas so I do not drive water into places where it should not be and eliminate big greasy messes. I also use small brushes and paper towels as needed - after, I blow excess water away with a compressor and then use a light machine oil to recoat block and other, not too much! The garden sprayer tip gets in to tight spots, very handy! Have fun!

Those Mud Pans from HD work great, I have 2, large and a smaller one. like you say draining the radiator or block drain. when I change the Trans/Torque convertor fluid, I slip this under the trans when I drop the pan to change the filter. Wash out the Mud pan and then it`s good to wash the baby in later on. ![]() Charlie
