Wow, if you want to see something really depressing...

Read the first few pages of this thread. Look at the dates, and the fuel costs. Now look at the dates and current fuel prices.

Anyone want to guess when diesel crosses the $3 mark? It seems to be staying at around $2.30 in my area.

Gasoline up an average of $0.47 from the same time a year ago while diesel is up $0.69½ for the same period. Seems like we're bearing the brunt of the increased oil prices.

Also noticed that Diesel has a higher percentage of taxes per gallon than gasoline.

At one of the cheapest name brand stations in the area, Exxon premium dropped from 2.099 to 2.069 this past week.
The don't sell diesel, which has been around 2.30-2.36 around here...

Unlr is at about 1.859 depending on the station you pick, while diesel is around 2.109. However the local Wally affiliated station lists it at 1.939 with a 3cent discount below that if you use a Wally gift card.

Its the same way here as well. RUL is about $1.85--up .20 in the last month while diesel has remained around $2.09.

Don't know why but every once in a while you'll see a station that has diesel for $1.99.

Cheers,
Bill

I would think that the trucking lobby would be up in arms about the high price of diesel fuel. The trucking industry is a lynchpin of our economy, & high diesel costs will be a greater contributor to inflation than anything I can think of, this side of bad monetary policy.
Transportation cost increases will be passed along to consumers very soon, I would think.
