1998 diesel: Readiness codes

1998 E300D

I had someone help me reset my SRS airbag warning light and he found a couple codes, something pertaining to a key malfunction, and ended up clearing all DTCs. I think this cleared the readiness codes too. I got home and checked and it "appears" all is OK. Could it be possible that the codes are have already reset themselves after only 10 miles or so

VCDS Release 11.11.5: Generic OBD2
Mode 01 - PID 01 : Readiness -- Address 08

Number of DTCs stored: 0 -- MIL Status: MIL OFF
Misfire monitoring: Passed
Fuel System: Not installed.
Comprehensive Components: Passed
Catalyst monitoring: Not installed.
Heated catalyst monitoring: Not installed.
Evaporative system monitoring: Not installed.
Secondary air system monitoring: Not installed.
A/C system refrigerant monitoring: Not installed.
Oxygen sensor monitoring: Not installed.
Oxygen sensor heater monitoring: Not installed.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Passed

I've got to get my annual state inspection completed ASAP and they do plug in and check the readiness status. Car won't pass if the codes aren't "ready", BTDT. Am I missing anything on the status of these codes??

Thx.

From the last time I messed with emissions on anything modern (a Jag BTW), you should get all the diagnostics to run at least once with a drive of 50 miles. Do that before your emissions test and assuming the MIL doesn't pop on you should be good.

Any time you clear faults in the engine computer it clears the readiness monitors. They will re set as you drive. Looks like all of yours set on your drive home.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I thought it looked as it is supposed to. I've experienced the same scenario on our W210 wagon and that took far more driving for the readiness to pop up. Life is so simple when diesel-powered

I had the inspection completed yesterday and I don't think they even plugged into the OBD port this time
