UPDATE - NEWS FLASH !

Klause is once again running. He started this morning after 6 weeks of trying (it was 6 weeks ago that I finally got it all back together, but he would not start). JJ and I took him for a drive around the block and learned that there is another problem we need to figure out. But for now, everyone is happy - happy -happy!

Here's the video;

I'll keep ya'll in the loop, and thank you to everyone who has helped me!

Well - here's sort of a book-end to my story. Klause is now running (still has some small problems, like the turbo does not engage) - but the head replacement is finished. I just took him to the inspection station and he passed;

Soon I'll be starting to work on my other 1987 w124 project, my wifes 300TDt named Spouse !

Great news! As to the turbo issue, try disconnecting the wire to the over-pressure sensor on the driver's side of the intake manifold (27 mm hex about an inch deep). If that is clogged it could be grounding the connector and thus preventing the injection pump from allowing you your extra juice needed to kick in the turbo.

Ahh, that sounds easy. I will give that a try too. I don't remember if I pulled that part out when I was soaking the intake in diesel to get all of the bio-tar out. Hope I didn't ruin this sensor! I drove Klause to work today, feel good!!
