Hey all,

Someone smashed the driver's window on my '74 240d. I found the right glass at the junkyard, but had to pull out all the seals on that car to get the glass and the channel it was in out of there, the glass channel being the metal piece that the glass is crimped into that attaches with two bolts to the regulator (it seemed best just take all that together, since it would be difficult to get the shattered glass out of the old channel).

I can't find any info or diagrams or anything here about replacing door glass, and how to get the seals out of the door to get all this down in there. Has anyone done this procedure, or know of any tips or info anywhere? I see a lot about front and rear-window replacement but nothing about door glass. Many thanks,
